In the summer of 2016, I bought my first van Carla. She was for sale in my neighborhood by a sweet kind old couple. I picked her up and began the conversion process immediately. She was an old passenger van, so there was a mountain of work ahead of me to be the home I wanted. My father and I spent countless hours all summer creating this metal box. Every weekend we would spend all day tackling task after task. We learned an endless amount. When I started I knew nothing about building vans. Little did I know by the end of my first van I would have fallen fully in love with the process of building out old vans into campers.
